We must remember

Life, God, Source, The Universe always has a way of reminding me of just who I am and my purpose here. Often times people refer to movies, music, and books as "reality breaks" but I like to refer to them as "Life Reminders". Because for me, they do just that. These sources of fantasy and fiction remind of what truly exist within us and our world. Our human form is just carbon copies of what we truly are as a Spirit Being. These experiences are not just fiction but subtle hints that our higher selves seek to show us "you are made of more"
But then my questions lies in the awaking. How do I live in the physical realm without getting lost in the daydream, the illusion, that the air we breathe and the earth we walk upon are the only reality? How do I see and know both worlds? In a sense, transcend, and live as a translucent being.
When we think of a person not based within the reality of this world we either call her a lunatic or a Guru. I remember when I was taking my Jewish studies classes my teacher discussed with us Kabbalah and mystical side to Judaism. There are so many stories that give life lessons and share wisdom on  how to live in and as both an Earthling and a Spirit Being. One story I remember best is when they taught on meditation and deeper forms of prayer. One meditation in particular explained a form of transcending into the higher realms along the Tree of Life but in doing so a person could lose their self and lose their sense of place in time and space (the Earth Realm). This was mainly so if they tried to return. So often when doing this meditation the person would have someone that would pose as a tether so they would get lost in the higher worlds.
But as a human being we have so many distractions, so many material things that tether us in this Earth Realm that it is easy to lose our sense of Spirit and forget we are more.
    Thinking deeper on this:
We dream about life on Mars, about flying through space, about aliens, and life on other planets, but do we actually believe in it. Some people of those that think of such things as foolish, crazy, and other non-sense. But why? Why is that so hard to believe in life beyond Earth? I think the bigger question is not what others think but how do we allow ourselves to keep our connection to Earth, society, and yet keep our heads in the clouds--live in the spirit, be something more. It feels as if we have to chose one or the other. We can't be both spiritual and worldly. Yet, wouldn't you have to be just to abide in this physical realm because we could never lose our spirit--its' what keeps us alive. It's our Godhood, our connection to Source, the Essence of All living and non-living things.
Is this why Humanity dreams? We fantasize about the future, about the mysteries of the Universe, about the "supernatural"? It seems to me that we envision the world as it could be and most assuredly as it should be. Because what do we really know about life, about God, about the Universe? I believe, more than what we believe we know and less of what we think is real. We're closer than what we have ever dream we could be. It's here and now. The Universal wholeness and realness.
We have forgotten ourselves, trapped within an illusion of forgetfulness. True Reality is too great. So we told ourselves a single lie--a thought that opposed the truth, a lie in a sense that we are not as who we are. That we are not God and so we must strive or work to be as such--God.
We have forgotten but now we must remember our Godhood, remember Us.
