I choose to believe

Some people choose not to believe, and I'm not talking about a particular faith or in a god or religion. I'm talking about Life, the Self, and anything beyond matter. After work a coworker asked for a Tarot Reading, and in my building it can be hard to find a quiet and secluded place. So I found a empty table and I shuffled the deck and pulled out the cards for her reading. After we were discussing what Spirit had spoken through the cards, we both felt a sense of wonder at the message of truth and clarity. A gentlemen had been watching the whole reading, unbeknownst to us, and when I was done asked what I was doing. I explained to him that I was giving her a Tarot reading. He smirked, and laughed. I didn't respond. But as I was moving away, he asked "why would I do such a silly thing like that?" I could already tell he didn't believe in the power of Tarot. I didn't think it was my job to convince him so I let his question be. He continued to talk, I admit I only half listened. But I do remember him saying something about not believing in anything he couldn't see.
Hmm...Why is that so hard to believe in what cannot be seen through physical eyes?
I believe everyone can see and feel Spirit. We all have psychic, shaman, or supernatural gifts (as many like to call it) that makes the material life minuet in the big picture. We are all healers, teachers, seers, and prophets. All of these abilities are ingrained in our very nature.
But we choose to see only what we want to see, and we choose to believe only what we want to believe. "You can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink," an old and wise saying that my grandmother use to say.

I believe because I choose to believe, and I believe in life and anything is possible, and any non-thing is most definitely possible.
