The Wheel has Turned, Samhain is Here
In the twilight of the year, when summer fades,
And autumn's touch turns leaves from green to gold,
A sacred night descends, where spirits roam,
Samhain, the ancient rite, the stories told.
A veil grows thin between worlds of life and death,
As darkness dances, shadows cast their spell,
Ancestral whispers echo through the air,
A time for remembrance, where loved ones dwell.
The harvest's bounty, gathered by our hands,
For now, we rest and honor what has been,
For Samhain calls the turning of the wheel,
To honor cycles and the seasons seen.
The bonfires blaze, their flames rise high and bright,
Their warmth a comfort in the autumn's chill,
As we release what no longer serves us,
And let our hopes and dreams take flight, fulfill.
The spirits join us in this ancient rite,
Guiding us, protecting us along the way,
We offer gratitude for their presence here,
Honoring the darkness, till dawns the day.
For Samhain holds both joy and sorrow's gaze,
A time to honor life's sweet bitter blend,
To celebrate the past and all it is,
As we await the cycle to transcend.
So let us gather, circle round the fire,
With open hearts, we welcome Samhain's embrace,
As spirits intertwine in timeless dance,
We find our own connection to this place.
For in the dance of life and death, we find,
A truth that lingers, resonating deep,
That life's a tapestry, where darkness shines,
And Samhain's mysteries, forever keep.
May your Light burn bright this Samhain,
Yaffah
